Homestays are a type of Inn that is normally run by local families down in the valley. When you choose to stay the night at a homestay you wake up already in the valley, which enables you to explore more of the scenery. The guests share one big loft room, on the second floor of a traditional house. The host and their family stay in a separate part of the house. There are no private bedrooms in the homestays. There are hot showers, western standard toilets, beds, and tasty traditional food. The homestays are clean and safe.

Learn to embroider
Here you will learn to embroider and create patterns as you like. Patterns are mainly inspired by flowers, grass, and animals.
Learn to dye hemp fabric
You will learn how to dye natural hemp fabrics with natural indigo. The ingredients are all-natural, environmentally friendly products.
Learn to batik
You will learn how to draw beeswax on hemp fabric, how to process beeswax and heat it before painting on fabric, you will interact with Hmong artisans who have more than 20 years of experience to draw beeswax art.
Learn to weaving
Learn to weave hemp from local artisans and see how long it takes them to make a traditional costume.

Hey! I am Lang, the creator of the Hemp & Embroidery shop in Sapa, Vietnam. I was born in Lao Chai Village, often called Muong Hoa Valley. I have more than 12 years of experience in Hmong handicrafts. I love my culture and my hometown, which is why I developed Hmong handicrafts. I also have experience as a local guide in Sa Pa. I am proud of my hometown; we have many beautiful mountains and rice fields. I would love to share my beautiful village and our culture with everyone all over the world.
